For school groups, the house is the ideal size to fit a classroom of students. It is the perfect setting to learn about Native American lifeways, explore cultural tools and artifacts or listen to stories of past. Multiple presenters are available for larger school groups. Presentations can cover a broad range of topics and hands-on experiences.
For special events, such as re-enactments and powwows, our bark house is an ideal focal point for visitors and participants to experience the richness of historic Native American technologies and traditions. The house can be fully furnished with traditional material culture items or can be open for visitors to explore. The bark house is also available fir events with presenters who can demonstrate the contemporary practice of a traditional art form such as black ash basketry. Presentations can also be provided on historical lifeways with period accuracy.
